Project Objectives

Promoting equitable access to healthcare and SRH services, Ensuring human rights for all, regardless of age, sex, race, or socio-economic background, Building a healthy, self-reliant and respectful society in Bangladesh.

Expected Outcomes

1. Increased Access to Safe MR and SRH Services Women and girls, especially from marginalized and low-income groups, have improved access to quality, affordable and confidential MR and related reproductive health services. 2. Enhanced Awareness and Knowledge Communities, including men and adolescents, are better informed about sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), safe MR and available healthcare facilities. 3. Reduction in Unsafe MR Practices Incidence of unsafe and untrained MR procedures significantly decreases due to strengthened service delivery and awareness campaigns. 4. Improved Health Outcomes for Women and Girls Reduced maternal morbidity and mortality rates related to unsafe abortion and complications, leading to improved reproductive health indicators. 5. Strengthened Health System and Provider Capacity Healthcare providers are better trained and equipped to deliver safe, respectful, and rights-based MR and post-MR care. 6. Promotion of Human Rights and Gender Equality The project upholds the dignity, autonomy, and decision-making rights of all individuals regardless of age, sex, race, or socio-economic background. 7. Community Empowerment and Behavioral Change Positive shifts in social attitudes toward women’s reproductive choices and rights, fostering a supportive environment for SRHR. 8. Policy and Advocacy Strengthening Improved coordination with government agencies and stakeholders to ensure policy support and sustainability of safe MR services at all levels. 9. Contribution to a Healthy and Self-Reliant Society Empowered individuals and communities take active roles in maintaining their own reproductive health, contributing to a more equitable and respectful society in Bangladesh.
