Project Objectives

The main objective of BRAC's Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) programme is to sustainably lift ultra-poor households out of extreme poverty by enabling them to achieve key milestones toward a sustainable livelihood and socioeconomic resilience, thereby fostering their long-term well-being and agency. The program employs a comprehensive, time-bound, integrated, and sequenced set of interventions, including consumption support, asset transfers, training, and coaching, to achieve this goa

Expected Outcomes

The expected outcomes of BRAC's Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) program are to sustainably lift people out of extreme poverty and build their resilience through a combination of interventions. Key results include increased income and assets, improved food security, better health outcomes, sustained savings, and enhanced social empowerment and agency for participants, primarily women.
