Prevention of Avoidable Blindness (PAB) Project

Project Objectives

• To prevent and control avoidable blindness through early detection and treatment. • To improve access to quality eye care services for marginalized and vulnerable groups. • To raise awareness on eye health and preventive practices at the community level. • To strengthen community referral linkages and build local capacity in eye care.

Expected Outcomes

• Reduction in prevalence of avoidable blindness in the target area. • Increased number of cataract and refractive error cases successfully treated. • Improved community awareness on preventive eye care practices. • Strengthened collaboration between community health workers, hospitals, and stakeholders.
