Project Objectives

A contribution to sustainable food security for the extremely poor population in Saghata Upazila (contribution to Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10 and 13). Project objective The food security and hygiene standards of 2,500 households have been improved by utilizing the capacities created.

Expected Outcomes

The food security and hygiene standards of 2,500 households have been enhanced through the use of newly developed capacities.  Subgoals (Output)  The self-help capacities of 2,500 households within the target group are strengthened through collective organizational structures and networking with regional stakeholders.  The target group is empowered to generate income in non-agricultural sectors and gain access to investment capital.  Through the adoption of improved and sustainable agricultural methods, including vegetable cultivation and livestock farming, the target group can independently improve their nutritional status.  The target group has access to safe drinking water and is educated on health promotion practices.
