Mission Statement

Mission Our Mission is to enhance the capacity and ensure effective participation of the targeted project participants in all sorts of development initiatives utilizing their available resources in order to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice establishing a gender balanced dignified society.

Vision Statement

Vision Such a poverty free society where no existence of violence against women and children.

Objectives

In order to achieve organizational Vision & Mission SMS sets the following 4 goals: 1. To ensure social, economical and political rights of vulnerable ultra poor people especially ultra poor women, elderly women, dalit minority and ethnic minority women and transgender people. 2. To improve food and livelihood security through skills development and income generation. 3. To work on climate change management, waste management, produce renewable energy and to mitigate disaster risk acting on disaster preparedness, response and recovery. 4. To improve health and education facilities for ultra poor people especially for children.

Major Activities

SMS Programs: SMS believes to take a contributory service which is really mainline of positive developments that are related to poverty, inequality, injustice, rights & entitlements of Human life and livelihoods particularly of hard core poor and distress minority community. Counting the born believes as well as strong commitments SMS has given priority to address the issues through planned development initiatives. Considering contextual analysis and appropriative calculation SMS build foundation in front of following core programs.  Women Empowerment and women & children rights  Livelihood & Food security of extreme poor  Education  Agriculture  Skill training (Capacity Building)  Health, Sanitation and family planning.  Strengthening of local Government  Disaster Preparedness, response and Recovery  Climate change management  Domestic waste & Fecal sludge management  Protecting Victims of Human Trafficking in Bangladesh  Promotion of Improve Cooking Stove (ICS)  Biogas and bio fertilizer
